Operation Day

The operation day has arrived! It’s completely normal to feel excitement and a sweet rush on this special day for you. What can you expect on the operation day? How should you prepare for the day when your transformation begins? Gold City Clinic has prepared this guide for you to have a successful and smooth operation and to address any questions that may arise!

Where Will I Stay During My Experience at Gold City Clinic?

Since the ultimate comfort of our patients is a priority, we will arrange your accommodation in a 4-5-star hotel from the beginning to the end of the hair transplantation process.

How Do I Get to Gold City Clinic on the Operation Day?

The team will provide transportation for our patients from the hotel to the clinic and back. Therefore, you don’t need to worry about transportation.

Will There Be an Interpreter at the Clinic?

Since our clinic hosts patients from almost all over the world, we eliminate language barriers by providing qualified interpreters in your native language.

Will I Be Informed About All Procedures on the Operation Day?

Gold City Clinic Guest Relations Specialists will be with you throughout your experience, alongside your case manager. This way, our patients will be informed about the entire process (pre and post-operative procedures).

If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to ask your patient experience specialist and case manager.

How Are We Preparing You for the Operation?

• First, our doctors provide general information about the operation.
• Patients are given consent forms that need to be carefully read and signed.
• “Before” photos of your hair are taken by photographers before the operation.
• Pre-operative blood tests (HIV, HBV, HCV) are conducted, and vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, pulse, etc.) are checked.

How Long Does the Operation Take?

The operation can take between 6-8 hours. Therefore, we recommend having breakfast before the operation. Don’t worry about getting bored during the operation; we have internet-connected smart televisions in our rooms. You can listen to music or watch movies if you wish!

Operation Stages

• The planning process is one of the most critical stages of the operation. During this process, our doctors plan your operation to achieve the desired natural look and best results.
• The quality, density, and size of our patients’ donor areas are evaluated at this stage.
• Our doctors guide our patients and provide recommendations regarding the hairline and draw the agreed-upon hairline. You can discuss your ideas about the hairline with your doctor.
• The operation begins with the extraction of hair follicles from the donor area.
• After extraction, channels are opened by the doctor, and the process continues with implantation.

Lunch

Gold City Clinic will order your lunch according to your preference. So, if you’re vegetarian or prefer kosher or halal meals, please let us know.

The Day After the Operation

On the day following the operation, patients are expected to come to our clinic for wound care, to check the recipient and donor areas for infection and inflammation, and to change the bandages.
